2007

Back in 2007, the new station at the Torrent radioclub was used in several single operator contests (ARRL, Russian DX, CQWW WPX CW and phone). After seeing the good results on HF due to the great location of the club, a small group of URE Torrent radioclub members decided to get together and have a good time operating a M/S contest, the 2007 ARRL 10m. Propagation was not on our side, with only 148 contacts between SSB and CW, we still managed first place in Europe, operating as EA5KV multi-single, using the clubs Hy-Gain Explorer 14 at 20m, a Yaesu FT2000 + Acom 1000. Operators were EA5GS José, EA5ON Duncan, EC5KXA Dave, and EA5KV Victor.
